I was extremely happy upon arrival. The staff was pleasant, helpful and personal. The resort is beautiful, safe and clean and the staff are constantly doing upkeep. The 2 separate pools are great, rooms are nicely decorated and the shower was my favorite. Ingrid and Brian were great at making our stay memorable. Great place to stay.
The staff was so welcoming and accommodating during our entire stay. My husband had requested a specific room, Beach front to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary and the manager got us the exact room! In all honesty, our room and view was unbelievably gorgeous and we were able to walk directly on to the beach, which was a requested. However, all of these wonderful things aside, the hotel staff and management was beyond exceptional. We will forever be loyal to Marriott because of our stay. We learned about where the staff were from which is all over the world and Marriott promotes them and treats their employees very graciously. I've actually been trying to get a job with Marriott because of my stay and how unbelievable we were treated. Again, I don't have enough great things to say about this resort, property, view, staff, food and great beach drinks!
Expect more from Marriott. I booked my room through Expedia and paid for a ocean front room on the first floor with beach access. Upon check in I was told I am getting a room on the 2nd floor and I will have to take it up with Expedia regarding my reservation. I settled for the room on the 2nd floor which was much cheaper on Expedia. Expedia needs to address this issue, their customers are treated like 2nd class because they don't book directly with the resort. Our first night the shower had no shower gel and the shower drain was clogged, we told the front desk about it, they dropped off the shower gel but the drain issue was never addressed, taking shower in a puddle of water was disgusting. Property lacks amenities, no spa and no beach activities offered. Staff is polite and pleasant. Rooms otherwise are spacious.
