We were there for all of Passover in 2025. Everything from cleanliness, to daily room cleaning, to reception being helpful in a variety of matter's. The Dan Accadia was awesome. So much so that we've stayed there before!!!
The rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious, which is a definite positive. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t clean when we arrived, which was a letdown. Check-in also took about an hour, and the process felt a bit disorganized. The hotel has a lot of potential—it’s a beautiful property—but the service could use improvement across the board. We were surprised to be woken up at 9:30 a.m. by loud construction right outside our room. There was no prior notice about it, and when we called the concierge, it wasn’t really addressed. At lunch, I asked a few times for a clean glass and ended up waiting around 30 minutes. When it finally arrived, the waiter made a comment about patience being key to life—which, while maybe meant lightheartedly, felt a bit dismissive in the moment. All in all, the hotel has promise, but a more attentive and organized service experience would make a big difference. Service truly ruins the experience.
Avoid – Rude Staff, No Privacy, and Poor Management This hotel is overrated and overpriced. While the rooms are decent and the beach view is nice, everything else about Dan Accadia was a major letdown. The reception staff were rude and unprofessional. One receptionist (Filipino woman) changed her attitude the moment she saw my Israeli entry card. Despite the booking being under my wife’s British passport and paid with her UK card, she insisted I had to pay 18% VAT just because of that entry card. I haven’t lived in Israel for over 25 years, but she wouldn’t listen or even try to understand. She completely dismissed everything I said and made the whole check-in process unpleasant and awkward. It felt like she had something personal against me. That wasn’t the worst part. During a siren, we were sent to the basement shelter and shockingly, hotel staff were filming guests inside. One woman, easily identifiable with a tattoo of red and blue stripes on her left arm, recorded people in the shelter the entire time. I raised this with someone who claimed to be from security. His response? “Maybe they were just recording themselves.” Absolutely ridiculous. It’s a complete violation of privacy, especially during a moment when people were scared and vulnerable. He brushed it off and did nothing about it. Unacceptable behaviour from staff and zero accountability from management. The hotel was also filthy in some areas empty beer bottles, used towels, leftover food and cigarette butts left out in public spaces. No one was cleaning up after guests. The place felt neglected and chaotic. To make things worse, everything shuts down at 10pm. No room service, no food, no drinks. Not even a snack. For a so-called five-star resort charging nearly £400 a night, that’s disgraceful. I’ve taken my photos down because clearly this hotel doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore. I won’t be returning, and I recommend others think twice before booking.
