Dann Carlton Barranquilla

Dann Carlton is a hotel of the highest order. From the time we arrived to when we left, we were made to feel at home. The service we received from all employees was excellent. The room we had was well proportioned and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious and portions were ample. Highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Barranquilla.

Fantastic stay at Dann Carlton! I had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was top-notch from start to finish. Definitely a 10/10 — highly recommended!

This hotel is definitely not a 5-star property—maybe it was 30 years ago, and somehow it has managed to keep the rating, but it no longer deserves it. I would say it’s closer to a 3-star hotel. The facilities are outdated and unattractive. The carpet in the lobby is old and dirty, and the bathroom in our suite was honestly nasty. The front desk staff was among the worst I’ve ever encountered: slow, inattentive, and poorly trained. The only people who were truly kind and helpful were the doormen at the entrance. What you see in the photos does not reflect the reality of the rooms. The finishes are cheap, the mattresses are uncomfortable, and the bedding feels flimsy and low quality. The sofa beds are a joke—just a thin piece of foam on a surface that folds in half when you sit on it. We booked two suites, and the room service was terrible. We asked for extra blankets, and they never arrived. I’ve never had a check-in take over 45 minutes before—this one did, and it was exhausting. For the price we paid, I was really expecting a true 5-star experience. This was incredibly disappointing.
