Dar Anebar

Can be a little tricky to find but absolutely stunning, the staff are amazing and super accommodating. The room was gorgeous, the view from the rooftop was one of my favs views from Morroco! Spent 6 days travelling around Morroco, this was my favourite Riad!

Owner feels very family oriented. A comfortable environment. Staff are friendly and helpful. Steep stairs to rooms. Staff will handle luggage the whole visit. Nice lentil soup with an assortment of small sides. Sparkling water is available. Shower head was on hose, and wall hook did not hold shower head and kept aiming close to wall. 2-round-prong 220v 50hz power Nothing close to hotel. But downtown Old Fez is walkable. Most of Fez is shutdown on Friday. Leather workshops closed on Fridays

Unfortunately, this accommodation wasn’t it for us. We were welcomed by a helpful, but not very friendly manager. The check in was efficient and traditional with Moroccan tea and cookies. We supposedly had the best room in the Dar (superior king) and although it was very spacious and had quite a large bed, the overall feel and look of the room (and the entire Dar to be honest) was a bit worn. Bathroom sink had an issue, curtains were torn and dusty and the bed pillows were either too firm or too soft for our liking. The location was also not the best, with a lot of construction works going on. On a positive note, the breakfast was very nice and service was proactive. This Dar urgently requires a renovation. For the price we paid, there are much better places to stay in Fes.
