We stayed here last weekend as part of a family trip to Den Bosch. Did not realize how close the hotel is to the center of Den Bosch. Great combination - day time shopping / exploring the city and overnight stay in the middle of nature. As it was so hot, we did not make use of all of the outdoor facilities like the tennis court, but did get a chance to enjoy the pool in combination with the garden. Dinner in the restaurant was also really nice, super friendly staff and they looked very nicely after my little niece. Would def return!

I found this review difficult to write. While I enjoyed many aspects of my stay, a single negative incident, which was promptly addressed by the staff, sadly affected my overall impression. Taking this into account, I would give 2.5 stars, or 3 on Google Maps. My highlights: # The property itself is beautiful, with a lovely, cosy atmosphere and charming surroundings. # There is a variety of facilities, including table tennis, a tennis court, a pool and bicycle rental. # The availability of printed hiking and cycling routes at reception was a thoughtful touch, and they were very helpful and inspiring. # The staff across all hotel facilities were friendly and attentive. I was a little surprised by some of the prices, especially when compared to those at 4- and 5-star city hotels, but I understand that prices can vary in different locations. For example, daily bicycle rental was €5.50 more expensive, and a glass of wine was €3 more expensive. However, I must say that the room price itself was definitely worth it, especially considering the excellent amenities and breakfast.

We recently stayed at the Ruwenberg Hotel in St. Michielsgestel with two friends for a bachelorette weekend, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. Despite checking in online beforehand, we were forced to wait unnecessarily at the reception for about 30 minutes. The lady at the reception was extremely unfriendly and made the process far more complicated than it needed to be. To make matters worse, the bride was clearly wearing a bridal veil, yet none of the staff offered any congratulations or even acknowledged the occasion. We specifically booked this hotel for a spa and wellness weekend but were disappointed to find that there was no water cooler available near the sauna or pool. We were left feeling dehydrated and uncomfortable. The restaurant experience was equally frustrating—again, no positive interaction from the staff, no congratulations for the bride, and an unnecessary delay in receiving the wine menu (over half an hour), despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. The unfriendliness continued at checkout. The bride politely inquired whether it would be possible to use the spa facilities for a fee without staying at the hotel, and the receptionist rudely shut her down with a blunt "No! That’s not possible!"—without any courtesy or explanation. Overall, I give this hotel one star. I have never encountered such unfriendly service in a hotel before. It left a bitter taste, especially since we had been expecting a warm and welcoming experience during our bachelorette weekend. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good service or a friendly atmosphere.
