Just back from Djerba Tunisia Aqua Resort and had a brilliant time! From the moment I arrived, I was really impressed. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the entrance is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly – they really made me feel at home. The rooms are big, tidy, and come with everything you need, including a safe. It’s a fantastic destination if you’re travelling solo, especially in the off-season – I met loads of other solo travellers and made some great friends. Food-wise, it was excellent! There were several live cooking stations making fresh food to order, plenty of salads, and a wide variety of options to suit all dietary needs. There are several pools on the resort to relax by, and the beach is just a short stroll away. Honestly, I had a great experience and would definitely return. Just one tip – avoid buying excursions off-resort. Unfortunately, we got scammed, so it’s best to book directly through the hotel to be safe. Highly recommend for a solo getaway!
We spent 10 days at the Djerba aqua resort. Starters take sterling with you, firstly to pay the hotel tax which was £155 for the ten days, then £10 for each beach towel your hire from the hotel or I suggest taking your own. What can I say, well the rooms are outdated, the beds are rock hard, not comfortable at all. Our room had a funny smell which can only be described as mouldy cat wee. The air conditioner in our room wasn’t working properly. The aqua park is £11 a day per person, do not be fooled into thinking this is included in the “All Inclusive”. The WiFi is horrendous throughout the whole resort, so if you want quality family time with no phones it’s perfect. We actually did make good use of this as we went with older children and it meant them having to mingle. The food was interesting and if you like to try different foods then it’s great! The bar service throughout is hit and miss. Luckily non of us really drink, but if you do then be prepared to wait for drinks at the bar. We did jet skis which are on the beach and great fun. The beach was lovely. We also did the markets and the pirate boat trip to flamingo island which was also great fun. Djerba it’s self is a nice island it’s a bit behind the main land of Tunisia but it’s definitely somewhere we might come to again in a few years. The some of the staff were great like the room cleaners and the maintenance people where always chatty and helpful. I’ve added a few nice pictures. We did have a nice holiday but it definitely was not worth the money we paid. Also I highly recommend the massage and spa package get it done on the first day or so you are there !!!
This is a loud, average hotel with focus on entertainment and housing a lot of people. The rooms were dirty (hair from others in the shower, no surface cleaning in between guests and stains on towels and bed sheets). The food was average but had a good variety at the buffet. The eating area was super loud and there was no place to be found in the evening to sit quiet and relaxed. The staff I communicated with was friendly
