I was sent to Mexico for a project and was booked into Dominion Polanco. It was excellent! Staff are friendly and helpful (and a bit of Spanish knowledge goes a long way) and their management all speak English and Spanish. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained. There is a very nice (heated) pool, jazuzzi and gym. Security os 24/7 and they handled the one incident (evacuation due to earthquake alert) during my stay very professionally. The area is very nice and safe with substantial visible policing, but is a wee bit noisy over weekends. They have a delicious breakfast buffet. There is a metro station within 5 min walking distance, which is very convenient. Every saturday there is a fresh produce market just across the street.
Gigantic rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it is huge! The kitchen is well stocked, although the tools are not very well maintained (ie the knives were not really sharp). The walk-in wardrobe is just great! The breakfast is good. Not mind blowing, but a good basic start for your day. I recommend not going right when it opens as it gets very busy for a small space. There is a telly in the dining area as well which is on during breakfast. This is not really to our liking but I understand some people might like it.
