Great value just outside of Denver. Stayed here for 2 nights while giving a keynote. Clean spacious rooms - great mini kitchen in room, modern & upgraded. Lovely service at Jackdaw, Aurora was particularly awesome - she even gave me oat milk for my morning smoothie before Book Tour signings at Barnes & Noble☺️
We recently stayed at this hotel expecting a four star experience but found it fell short in several areas. While it wasn’t a deal breaker, we didn’t even get the usual check in cookie, even though the people checking in next to us did. Just a small touch that would have made arrival feel warmer. The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling badly, likely because there’s no fan, which really took away from the room’s overall feel. The pool was disappointing too, way too chlorinated and hot, with the pool area so humid it was uncomfortable to relax. Parking was also a headache. The spots were so narrow that no one could fit comfortably without worrying about door dings. After dinner, we returned to find all three elevators out of service. Being on the fifth floor, we asked for an alternative and were simply told to take the stairs. The on site restaurant did look inviting, but we chose not to push our luck and ate elsewhere instead. When we checked out, no one even asked how our stay was, which summed things up perfectly. Overall, this place really doesn’t live up to its four star rating yet. It has potential but needs some basic attention to comfort and guest care.
My wife and I stayed here recently and were very let down by the overall experience. The hotel was flooded with multiple large youth baseball and soccer teams, and it honestly felt like we were staying at a sports camp, not a DoubleTree. The halls were constantly loud with kids running around unsupervised, and we couldn’t use basic amenities like the pool or gym because they were overcrowded and taken over by these groups. (Not just 1 or 2 teams, but around 4-5 teams/ extremely overbooked.) One night, my wife and I went down to the lobby shop around 10 PM and were shocked to see large groups of drunk parents (much older than us) loudly yelling, laughing, and drinking openly in the lobby. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing—definitely not the atmosphere we expected or paid for. There was no visible hotel staff presence doing anything to manage it. Worst of all, our car was broken into in the hotel’s parking lot. We found out afterward that there are no security cameras in the lot. I understand liability policies, but for a 4-star Hilton property to have zero surveillance in the parking area is unacceptable. It feels like guest safety and security just aren’t a priority here. We chose DoubleTree expecting quality, comfort, and professionalism... and instead had to deal with noise, chaos, and even property theft. Would not stay here again and can’t recommend it to anyone expecting a peaceful or secure visit.
