We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh, Queensferry Crossing for two nights and really enjoyed our experience. Although it's located outside the city centre, the hotel is very well connected by public transport, so getting into Edinburgh was quick and easy. The location itself is stunning, peaceful and scenic, especially with views of the Queensferry Crossing nearby. It’s a great choice if you're looking for a quieter stay away from the busy city streets. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. They made us feel right at home and were always happy to help with anything we needed. The hotel was clean, modern, and everything was hassle-free from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was a standard Scottish/English offering, with good quality and plenty of options to choose from. Overall, we had a very smooth and comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others—especially those wanting a relaxing base with easy access to the city centre.
Nice new rooms. No executive lounge. Far away will need a car. On site restaurants not big enough to cater for hotel, was told to wait 2 hours to get a table. Breakfast very limited for a hilton. Some rooms have a nice view.
WoW what a hidden gem this is. We went for my daughters surprise birthday and wasn't disappointed. From free parking to a wonderful well sign posted entrance and a warm welcome into the restaurant. Nothing was too much bother. We had the mixed bread and olive board for starters and had to get another one as it was so good, the butter wonderful and we are still talking about it! There was a slight mix up with our steak order but was dealt without a 'fuss' by Megan our server in a very professional way. My Ceasor Salad was the best I've had in a long time. Unfortunately we had no room left for deserts due to over indulgence with the bread and butter! The bar staff were very good and professional as well and enjoyed the recommendation of cider.
