Just finishing a 8 night stay at this property. We truly had a lovely time. The staff here are all amazing, warm, and friendly. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, like you’re in a botanical garden. The resort is secluded and quiet which is what we love. We had an ocean front villa. The room was large, tastefully decorated and overall very comfortable. Bathroom was modern with a great shower. You have lots of storage and the outdoor patio is rather expansive to enjoy the sunset views. Food here was good and from a USD perspective, very affordable. Overall I’d stay here again and would highly recommend this property.
Please read this review and do a proper research before booking this hotel as there is a high chance you will ruin your holidays if you end up staying here. There are lots of negative points about this place but I will focus only on the most critical ones. First of all, the hotel does not have an actual beach with access to the ocean. Basically if you want to swim in the ocean on your vacation (which I assume a lot of people want), you can’t do it from this hotel. You need to book a trip to one of the Fiji islands or just settle for the hotel’s pool which is not too great either (too small for swimming and looks a bit dated). Another aspect is that although the hotel is right next to the ocean and there are very close views of the ocean, the colour of the water here is not the blue shade one would probably expect from the ocean but a really disappointing brownish colour. Another important let down was the pest control of the hotel: we found a big cockroach crawling on our clothes that were placed on the sofa. Whilst I understand that this is an exotic place in the middle of nature, cockroaches are not what I want to have in my room in vacation and I think that a proper pest control should be implemented to prevent such situations. There are other things to complain about as well such service, food and the fact that the resort looks quite dated but these are really minor as compared to the beach issue and the pest control. I have rated 2 stars instead of just 1 because of the nice premises. The garden and the natural surroundings as well as the sunsets you get to see from this place are beautiful.
Beware before booking this hotel. For the price, it’s simply not worth it. Issues we faced: • Our first room had a flashing light on the ceiling that only appeared when the lights were off. At night, the whole room looked like a disco. We reported it to staff on the first night, but they showed zero empathy. One staff member even implied we should just “leave the lights on” to sleep. • The next day, we followed up with the reception and spoke to (what seemed to be) the manager. He said it would be fixed that afternoon, but we never received any update. By nighttime, the flashing was still there. • When we complained again, they finally moved us to another room—only for that room’s air conditioning to be extremely old and unbearably noisy. Service & Staff: The staff were unprofessional throughout. No apologies, no follow-up, no sense of care for guests’ comfort. Location: Very secluded, with little around, which makes the disappointing service and facilities even harder to overlook. Overall: Overpriced, poorly maintained, and let down by unprofessional service. Definitely not recommended.
