DoubleTree by Hilton Ottawa Downtown

Stayed here for business, no issues. Clean rooms, comfy bed and the one or two times needed help they came promptly. Breakfast staff were great and appreciated it included as Hilton diamond member. Location is great, lots of food around and quick walk to parliament. Only negative was the very tight parking lot. The price is also a bit weird, you basically pay extra for in and out privileges. $33 a day with hotel but it was $21 a day if you were to just pay every day directly with parking company.

We had a great stay over the Canada Day festivities in the Nations Capital. The room has recently been renovated and we had a nice firm comfortable bed, with a well designed washroom and great walk-in shower. Plus the service at Reception was excellent and always helpful. There is 1 area that needs improvement and that is parking. There were no parking spaces available on P3, which is the only level with elevator access. We had to park on P4, walk up the stairs to P3 to take an elevator up to the lobby and our room. Otherwise we had a great stay.

This hotel was the worst I've ever stayed at. I've stayed at less expensive hotels that have been so much better. The parking garage you have to use (which they say they are not affiliated with, eventhough the hotel name is everywhere in the garage) is extremely low. If you have an SUV or a van, forget about it. It ripped our attendance off our vehicle. When we walked into our bathroom, there were still dirty towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door. When we questioned the housekeeping girl, she just keep sorry. We also found a stain on one of the comforters and it took 2 phone calls to the front desk and 45 minutes later for housekeeping to come. He was the best part. He changed all the sheets on both beds and made sure the bathroom was clean. The front desk doesn't care. They are not helpful. The restaurant is slow and very pricey. The surrounding hotels I'm told are excellent and the rates were cheaper. No microwave in the hotel which I've had in every hotel I've stayed in. Don't waste your money. DO NOT STAY HERE! We're still here and would love to leave, but we booked through a 3rd party and unfortunately I have to go through them to cancel the rest...the hotel won't help me.
