DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Lancaster

Great place to stay while in Lancaster. Close to everything, conveniently located, clean, we'll maintained rooms and other areas of the hotel. Enjoyable pool area and many things to do here other than sit in the room. The Palm Court is just spectacular and the restaurant serves some delicious and high quality offerings. I would highly recommend this fine establishment to anyone and everyone traveling or staying in the Lancaster Pa area and surrounding areas.

Rooms were great! Very spacious and they give upgrades at availability based on Hilton status! Very centrally located; great amenities including small water park, and next to a golf course! A great place for a business meeting (and to bring families)

I considered myself a regular customer since I bring my family to this hotel several times a year and also use DoubleTree for business. However, my recent stay was disappointing, to say the least. They did not respond to my messages sent through their app, which is unusual because I typically receive a prompt reply. Additionally, I tried calling multiple times but they did not pick up. I checked in using the app, but upon arrival, I discovered that the kids' playground by the pool was closed. I was not informed of this, even though I stopped by the front desk on my way in with my kids, who were excited about the pool. This was very disappointing. The attitude of the front desk staff was neither friendly nor welcoming. The water in the regular pool was freezing, whereas it is usually at a decent temperature. There were dead bugs all around the pool area and my children came across bandaids in the kids pool. They also made us wait until exactly 4 PM to check into our room, whereas we normally have been able to check in a bit early. Given the price per night compared to other hotels in the area, I expected a much better experience. For a chain like DoubleTree, this was my worst stay yet. Although I appreciate the honors program and the convenience of using the app, I may need to start exploring other options in the area with better service.
