I stayed in this hotel for a convention and overall, it was decent. The location is very convenient, with lots to do nearby, and most of everything you'd need is within a 1 mile walk. The rooms themselves are very spacious, but the entire hotel is pretty old. The sofa beds definitely need updating, and the lobby is relatively small. However, the cookies were great and price was alright. I might look into similarly priced, nearby options if I return to Anaheim, but this wasn't bad at all.
No clue how this is considered a four-star hotel on Google, but clearly the standard is different. This is three star at most. Rooms are outdated mattress is not the. It is a large busy hotel. There is a decent amount of noise and easily filter through the wall if your neighbor has children. The only thing convenient about it is it’s a location for those going to Disney. Otherwise, even in terms of like food options there’s only big chain places nearby.
The rooms are older. You’ll see worn out carpet in the corners, dents in the wall, and dirt on the wall trim. There was no soap in the dispenser in the bathroom, which we only found out in the middle of a shower. The bed was too soft and difficult to sleep on without support. There was only one firmness pillow (squishy) on the bed. We had a two bed suite with a fold out couch in the living room. We thought we had plenty of towels, but when we took the towels off the shelf, three of them had make up spots on them or perhaps something else was on one of them since one was brown spots. The walls are paper thin. I was not woken up by my alarm, I was woken up by the neighbors. It was so loud that I actually thought it was my companion who was sleeping on the fold out couch in the living room up and doing things. I got up to say hey quiet down in here! only to see him asleep and realizing that the noise that sounded like it was in the same hotel room with me was actually in a neighboring hotel room. The best thing the hotel had going for it was it was just a few blocks away from Disneyland, which was our reason for staying there. You could Uber to and from Disneyland for a quite reasonable price, even if the park closes at midnight the Ubers are lined up to take you back to your hotels. I would have said that I would stay there again except the disgusting towels made me realize that the sheets were probably dirtier than I realized and unclean, thinking about the fact that I slept on them is creeping me out. They tell you that parking comes with the room, and that you can go in and out with your hotel door key. What they don’t tell you is that before you leave you need to get a ticket to get out of the parking lot or you will be locked in, or charged. Many people were getting stuck because they didn’t realize that they could not just drive out an automatic gate. We had to go back inside the lobby and ask for a ticket. This was after I called down to the front desk and said have we completed our checkout properly online and they said yes. I said is there anything else that I need to do and they said no. I asked if they had any trolleys to take down my luggage and they said they were all in use, I’d actually only seen one trolley at the hotel so maybe that one was being used. They told me I could have an extended check out while waiting for the trolley, but we just piled all our stuff (cooler, laptop bag, garment bag etc) on the rolling suitcases and took our stuff out like that. At that time during that phone call he should have told me to come down to the desk to get an exit ticket for parking, but he didn’t. This must be an issue that happens every single day. You would think they would have some sort of process to make sure that people don’t get locked inside….. unless they’re purposely doing that to make people so uncomfortable at the gate that they’re paying a full days payment just to get out. A lot of the hotels in this area look rundown so I’m not sure if that’s just the aesthetic that the Disneyland area has going for it but next time I won’t be booking a room here.
