It was very convenience to reach wherever you want, and the price was very reasonable for the property. Only interesting bad experience that I faced is the lady who was in the lobby restaurant. I went there to get my complimentary gift drink because I am Silver Member of ALL Accor Membership. I gave my gift card to the bartender, and he gave my drink and then while going into my room she yelled at me, knowing nothing about my gift card, "you should pay your drink fee" and the bartender showed her my card then she cut to say something.
Room was comfortable and well attended. Location of the hotel was convenient to many restaurants. This was good because the restaurants in the hotel were problematic. The restaurant on the mezzanine floor of the hotel used for breakfast, while nice, did not understand the concept of a hot breakfast. Food was clearly prepared the night before and put out on warmers. If you were there early, i.e., right after opening, you were treated to cold eggs, cold pancakes, cold everything. Even after pointing this out, subsequent days were no better. One evening, my party wanted a light meal and stopped in at the restaurant on the main floor for a quick bite. None of the staff spoke any passable English, which for a hotel that caters to an international clientele was a problem. When asked what was included in that day's mezze plate, all that could be gotten from multiple servers was that mezze was Turkish snacks. Our final complaint for this hotel is unfortunately the presence of so many restaurants nearby. At least one of them played very loud music until midnight pretty much every night. The music was loud enough that it permeated the walls of our room which was on the 9th floor of the hotel. It was loud. Ok, one other point, which is clearly NOT the hotel's fault. I travel a lot throughout the world. I thought Paris was bad when it came to smoking. They are not even close to Turkey. If you opted to go out to any of the nearby restaurants, you could count on coming back to your room reeking like an ashtray. This was quite unfortunate as the food we had at three of the nearby restaurants was quite good. But after awhile, you just don't want to go out at all because if you are like me and my partner, you have an affinity for breathing fresh air.
The hotel was nice, clean, and quiet, but I have a small comment about the staff. They seemed to have difficulty smiling and appeared quite serious, almost as if smiling would "break their faces." This was especially noticeable with the women at the reception of the breakfast area in the morning. Their cold stares and lack of engagement made me feel uncomfortable, to the point where I didn’t even want to have breakfast. Unfortunately, the same woman was there in the afternoon when I ordered a Turkish coffee. She seemed unaware that serving water with Turkish coffee is a standard practice, not a special request, especially considering the coffee was more expensive than at other places. The only positive experience I had was at the Loopy Night Bar, where two guys were incredibly professional, friendly, and had warm smiles. Thanks to them for making me feel comfortable they were the highlight of my stay.
