Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood

Nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good food in the hotel restaurant. Convenient location just off the Royal Mile in close proximity to Arthur's Seat and the palace.

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel front desk staff were delightful and helpful. If you needed dinner reservations, wanted help with luggage, or needed to store your things they were there to help. The room was nice and the location was good. The main downside was that we had booked a room with club access. The club was the worst I've ever been to. Typically, there is a decent breakfast spread and snacks around dinner time. The amount and variety put out seemed like an after thought and the dishes always seemed to run out/be gone when we would arrive even though we always went during the posted service times. If you're staying here I wouldn't pay any extra for the club access. As just a hotel it was very nice.

It was not like any other Marriott experience, sadly. Some of the staff was curt. Location is fine, it's a 15-20 minute walk from the waverly station and calton hill and a little bit more to the princes street. Rooms were fine.
