El Faro Boutique Hotel & Spa by DON

Our stay at El Faro was truly exceptional. As frequent travelers, we can confidently say this hotel ranks among the best we’ve experienced. The location is simply unmatched—you could spend all day and night admiring the breathtaking views. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom that includes a luxurious soaking tub offering stunning scenery. Every meal we had was delightful. The sauna and hot tub provided the perfect way to unwind, but the highlight was the heated pool overlooking the lake. We have fond memories of swimming there, basking in the sun, and taking in the serene surroundings. The staff were warm, attentive, and always eager to help. They arranged a fantastic horseback riding excursion for us with a local farm and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. A special mention to the front desk team, who made every effort to return a valuable hat I had left behind—a small but meaningful gesture that truly reflected their outstanding hospitality. El Faro is a place we will cherish and hope to return to in the future!

The views are beautiful. Stayed in a deluxe room with a lake view. The pictures on the website and the actual room were different, so don't set your expectations too high. Furniture was looking a little rough from use. The hot tub in the bathroom worked, but was pretty cracked and looked like a patchwork of repair putty was keeping the water in. Robes were frayed and stiff. Service at check in and check out was adequate, but nothing special. Felt like a 2 star hotel with a 4 star lake view.

Beautiful views and you’re a 30 minute walk from the town. The rooms and common areas aren’t as nice as pictured but still would recommend if you need a nice play to stay in the area. Would give it 4 stars if they had bikes you could cycle into town!
