Very good hotel! Book the "serviced apartment" to get a separate sitting room, full kitchen, dining table and washer/dryer. Nice view too of West Lake and the city skyline. Very clean, modern. Excellent staff -- very friendly and accommodating. They held our large bags while we took a cruise in Ha Long Bay then returned. Just a couple of USD to get a grab into the Old Quarter. Walking to convenience stores, restaurants and cafes. Spend a few extra dollars for this luxury in Hanoi. Free breakfast was very good -- diverse buffet but ask the chef for "eggs Benedict with smoked salmon", wow!!!

Elegant Suites Westlake in Hanoi offers a comfortable and luxurious stay with well-appointed rooms that are spacious, clean, and elegantly designed. The hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. The food quality is excellent, with a good variety of options catering to different tastes. The location is convenient, being close to the market and prime areas, making it easy to explore the city. While it is slightly tucked inside, it offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, a great choice for those looking for a comfortable stay with quality services and easy access to key locations in Hanoi.

This place is advertised as five-star, but in my experience it was closer to a tired three-star. There was a lizard or gecko living behind the kitchen cabinets that would dart in and out. Maintenance tried to catch it but couldn’t, which made me feel uncomfortable the entire stay. The gym felt neglected and dated. The road outside flooded when it rained, making it genuinely hard to get in and out. The kitchen area had silver tape on the floor and visible dirt on the wall - small things, but again, not what you expect when a place markets itself as high-end. There’s a nice supermarket nearby with a café, and the room was clean on arrival. But overall, the experience didn’t feel premium or worth the price. Summary: Definitely not five-star - felt more like a dated three-star with service and maintenance to match.
