I stayed for five nights with my spouse in the summer for our wedding anniversary. We called ahead to arrange for special decorations, and the concierge was so responsive! We had excellent service. The front desk answered any and all questions that we had, and all staff were very hospitable. Our hotel room was clean and modern (we love a kitchenette), and its location in center city meant that the views were excellent. I would not hesitate in booking at Element Hotel after our experience. A big shout out to Johnny for his excellent service!
This was a great hotel. The staff was friendly to the point of when our Lyft driver left a suitcase on the curb, taking us to a different hotel (had to change for work reasons) The valet noticed it and went and pulled it so that no one would steal it. The room was clean and we enjoyed being on the top floor to be able to look out over the city. The only complaint I could possibly give would be that the free included breakfast is a bit redundant with the same food every single day and the free snacks that they have during happy hour is just some slices of bread and hard cheddar cheese cubes. It would be nice for them to have had a little bit more variety because of your lactose intolerant then there’s no snack for you. But it’s really hard to knock them. Any stars, considering both of those were free or included in the price so it feels wrong to judge them on free amenities that a lot of hotels don’t give anymore. But if they could have some variety to the breakfast in the snack for happy hour, then they would be much closer to perfect. Great location it’s a couple of blocks to the City Hall area, which is the hub of the city and you can get almost anywhere in the five minutes unless you really wanna go to the outer edges of the city. They do not have an airport shuttle, but most hotels in downtown do not seem to offer that. Would be a nice service for sure
I'm a Bonvoy lifetime Platinum Elite member and I have literally stayed for extended periods of time at all the Marriott properties in the Philly Center City area. The Element, by Westin is now the top of my list. I have stayed at the full serve Marriott (both towers), Residence, Courtyard, Autograph, Sheraton, and even the Ritz. I was hesitant for the Element because candidly it was the best value. Here is why we love it. First, this is a big boy hotel and has 31 floors in Center City. We had a 2 Queen room on the 29th floor and upgraded to a corner suite... what a view!!!. This hotel is NEW and CLEAN. The rooms have a kitchenette with freezer / fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, sink, toaster, etc. As a bonus, the sink has a separate lever for filtered water and the room has glasses and a carafe so we didn't have to search for bottle water. The room had a couch, a desk, and a 2 stool bartop in the kitchen area. The corner suite had electric curtains and shades, shower was taller than by 6'4" head, and carpet, tile, grout, floors, are all spotless. Location is right behind the Ritz and Chestnut in both directions has tons of restaurants, coffee, etc. There is valet parking and Uber dropoff right in the front. Super convenient. There was a comp breakfast and happy hour, we actually only made it to happy hour one night which was great. If you want to be picky, there is not an onsite restaurant / bar but the location, cleanliness, and value ... and the rooms are amazing. When we booked, I imaginged this would be in Fairfield Inn category ... the Element is significantly higher and a sneaky 31 story glass beauty in Center City with a great staff. We will be back. Trust me, you will love this property!
