Elma Hotel and Art Complex

Really great experience at Elma. The food is wonderful and the facilities are A plus. A person in our party is on a gluten free diet. The breakfast team were so kind and prepared a gluten free focaccia and another mushroom salad just for her. Highly recommended

Complex is nice and quiet and has lovely climate. The pool area was very nice. Walking distance to the center of town. We went for one night over the weekend, the food was very good for buffet food, a very nice range, fresh, tasty and dishes I've never seen before on a hotel buffet. We ordered some extra wine, it was white but not chilled, so that was a bit of a downer (though it was tasty). It's also true what some other reviewers wrote that some of the rooms and hallways could do with some re-touching, looks like it hasn't had much since it launched 10 years ago. There are a couple of good reasons for that. On the Saturday morning there was an hour guided tour - the guide was really excellent, told the story of the hotel, its artwork, and the local history. I cannot overstate how important this was to understanding this hotel, its layout, its design. There is a world class concert hall (we didn't go to the show) and art all over the walls, hence the name: this is not just a hotel, it's a life's work and a mission of the owner, and for that it is quite unique.

Team is amazing. All the receptionists went above and beyond, I can point out in particular, Victoria And Liza. They were very helpful and responsive. Yana at the bar was also so attentive. The rooms require light maintenance but overall the hotel art, service, the people and the food made our stay.
