Overall awesome experience! Only stayed one night with family. Room was spotless, up to date, I booked last minute due to issues at another hotel, appreciated seeing my name on the screens of the room when I entered despite this:) Breakfast was good for kids but line was long for omelets (it was around July 4) we didn't bother to wait. Loved the option to check in and out and use keyless entry with app saved much time and was extremely convenient! Kids loved the pool. Front desk workers were on point, would definitely recommend!

From check in the first thing you will smell is the overpowering wave of chlorine coming from the extremely small pool for such a large hotel. The college hook shower curtains should be a scene from a budget horror film. The bathroom floors and tubs were dirty with a forever stained bottom shower. Suite had a clogged bathroom sink and no hand soap. Nice that it’s right across from Whole Foods and plenty in walking distance. Don’t know why it’s so pricey (you can see the navy pier/water and that may be the price tag, but it’s not worth it imo), but stay next door or down the street to a 4 star establishment for a better and more sanitary stay. This is also a VERY family friendly hotel to include pets so be advised of that. Walls are super thin, and you will hear every child crying from being scolded by their parents. No vent in bathroom. No toiletries. Super dated and needs renovating seriously. Housekeeping are all males (very strange to me). Food/towels left in front of guests doors for hours. Stains on the tables in the only eating area in the hotel and the buffet is not the greatest. Condiments on table are dirty and need to be replaced. All in all not at all a choice I would make for a stay if you’re used to nicer/newer hotels with or without family.

It felt like the people managing the place are just phoning it in, just staffing enough people so they can pretend to provide basic hotel services. (Interesting I’m using that expression since they don’t hire enough staff to … answer the phones). I’d suggest someone from the corporate office come and stay at this hotel. They can then use their own experience to guide what “luxury” features they’d like to add. Like staff hired to answer the phone! And elevators working going up and down as requested! And clean showers! And staffing for breakfast and happy hour so it feels like hospitality and not like a dormitory cafeteria with long long lines. And walls that protect from sound enough so I don’t hear pillow talk next door. And bottled water, or somewhere to find filtered water. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where there wasn’t like a plan for guests who don’t want to drink tap water. And service at the bar! Someone in the lobby was trying to sell other embassy suites vacations. They miss the idea about branding that people would only buy that if they had a great experience here and wanted to repeat it elsewhere.
