It's a paradise with a serene landscape. Excellent location and view, a must go. Outstanding service by the reception staff and the manager. It was a pleasant experience. Food was much better than any other place in the region. I am a strict vegetarian and to my surprise they had very good variety of veg food, you just have to explain your requirements to them. Having said that, my advice is that you plan the trip to this place after they have renovated (what I heard from people in the area) which is seriously required. We will be going again to this hotel again for sure. It's a hidden gem in the area. 'Almost all inclusive' package was bit confusing initially but I am happy that we chose that and not one/ two meals. If you plan a lot of outdoor activities then you can go for one or two meals which is much cheaper. But if you are planning to relax in the hotel then go for 'Almost all inclusive '.
This is great hotel at an outstanding location. My first trip to the Dominican Republic could not have been better. The beach and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Service is friendly and the food is amazing. I had the two meals per day plan, which was more than enough for me. There was a wide selection of food options wih new items added every day. The sandy beach is simply beautiful and clean, with plenty of beds available even on busier days.
Overall, great value for money. I stayed in a suite. The room needs a refresh but was probably really lovely when first built - it wouldn't take much to bring it back up to a decent standard. The bed was a little hard. The shower didn't have hot water although in these temperatures that's not really an issue. Electrics were not safe with bare wires being touchable on the iron and the aircon cutoff switch on the door. The bathroom and shower need an overhaul. Drinks were fine although I'm not a big drinker and the coffee was good. The restaurant staff were great but overwhelmed at the weekend with what I assume were locals. For my taste the food was quite poor quality and I found little to enjoy. Judging by other people's piled up plates that didn't seem to bother most people. The pools are OK although and the gardens will kept. Beech was quite nice and water was warm but didn't seem to be that clean. I managed to get quite badly stung by a friendly jellyfish. Entertainment is quite poor overall but the staff try and make up for it. Location is beautiful hotel side but outside is filthy with rubbish, including organic waste and plastic bottles strewn everywhere.
