Fairfield by Marriott Hangzhou

Fantastic hotel at the roadside . Unique design and beautifully crafted hotel. There is a convenience shop opposite the hotel entrance. Excellent breakfast too. Less crowded area.

This is a newer property that is still being renovated. It is near the Xiantiandi Mall area. The Didi may have trouble finding it, but just put in the mall, and you should be okay. The airport info desk can also put in the Chinese characters in for you. The hotel rooms were comfortable, and newer. Breakfast was simple but everyone greeted me with a smaller and was extremely helpful. Shadow especially went out of his way to ensure that I had a great stay. I was the only foreigner in the hotel but perfectly fine with my stay. I would stay here again. The price was excellent and the mall has lots of shops and good restaurants. Laundry prices were almost as much as my room per night. It would be nice if they offer a discount on laundry for elite members.

Given its price shouldn't have much complaint. But too bad, rooms design seemingly having its own issue. The toilet door can be tricky and trap your fingers. Faucet when wanted to fully tap on it shall hit on the mirror. Towel hanger is far from the shower screen , toilet light on off button is far from toilet door. Breakfast indeed was fine. Location wise is around 50-60m walk from main road and no shelter for unloading. Can be tricky when raining. Still can smell cigratte on the floor. The mall nearby has a lot of food but seems pretty quiet. Overall ok to stay for its price
