We fell in love with La Bobadilla the first time we went there in 2012. Looking for somewhere away from the crowds of La Costa Del Sol we almost stumbled upon it as its set off the main road in hectares of olive groves. We have been going back ever since and finally married there in 2022 on our 30th anniversary. It has gone from strength to strength over the years with excellent food, comfortable and spacious rooms with individual character, a huge swimming pool in beautiful surroundings and above all the most caring and thoughtful staff who we are proud to include amongst our friends. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Pool area and spa were really special. Food in the Bar plaza was well prepared and very tasty. We didn’t rate La Finca but probably just chose badly on menu. Would return.
We recently stayed two nights at Finca La Bobadilla for a romantic getaway, booking a junior suite with lunch, dinner, and a massage included. The surroundings are beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and service-minded. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and rainy during our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful outdoor pools or the paddle tennis court. Instead, we explored the finca’s grounds, played pétanque, and spent time at the gym and the spa, where we had three visits — the massages were very good and a highlight of the stay. We dined twice at the fine-dining restaurant La Finca. The atmosphere was elegant, but we found the food to be somewhat underwhelming — we would rate it 3 out of 5. In contrast, the lunch at El Mirador was more to our taste: simple, fresh, and satisfying. Overall, it was a nice experience, but we did feel the stay was overpriced relative to the value we received. One final point: there were quite a few children at the hotel, which felt somewhat at odds with the otherwise serene, classical atmosphere created with music and decor. In our view, there was a slight mismatch between the hotel’s ambiance and its guest profile.
