Fletcher Strandhotel Haamstede

Nice hotel restaurant. Compared to sister hotel just along the road so much nicer.

We stayed here for a weekend get-away, a couples trip to relax from a stressful period. The hotel is very beautiful with a great location. You can see it is very new and a lot of attention to detail went into it. I want to say form the beginning that during our stay the hotel & facilities were very understaffed, probably due to the current pandemic/crisis and general shortage. However, this did impact our (and others) stay here. The hotel room was bigger than expected, very comfortable bed and big bathroom with both a tub and shower. We really didn't miss anything. Compliments to the design of the Spa, very beautiful, however a bit small so I can imagine this getting crowded in more "busy" times. It is unfortunate that there is no "refresh" station with some fruits/drinks available and whilst one can ask for drinks to be brought this takes a little while. Also there was no one available to do any beauty/massage treatments, which of course, is a bit of a bummer. All in all we had a good relaxing time here however. The only part that I cannot recommend is the restaurant, or at least the 3 course meal.The food and especially service are not what I would expect from a hotel in this price class. On one evening there was not enough staff, too many young people and an overfilled restaurant due to expected rain, which caused long waiting times and very unhappy customers. Next time I would probably opt to eat elsewhere - the breakfast is nice, however, with a good variation.

Very nice, newly build hotel close to the beach. Room are great, service is good, only the breakfast was not super. All in all excellent value for money!
