The rooms are small, but comfortable and have everything you need for a short stay. The hotel is in a good location, malls are nearby and there is always security, especially around the car park. The WiFi needs to be fixed, as it was not good enough whilst we were staying.
A bit disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The rooms were clean, and had the basics. The hotel was safe and the breakfast was good. However, some of the reception staff weren’t very friendly, especially Susan. We had a couple incidents with Susan. She was quite impolite during our stay, and accused us of stealing money from the forex exchange at the reception when she was the one who did all the calculations prior. We were called at 11pm at night (when we were sleeping) to be told this. For our first time in Kenya, this was not a great experience and left us with a bad taste in our mouth for the remaining of our time here. I would like to point out that Ken was great though, and was super attentive with us when we had breakfast, and was very welcoming. Kudos to him.
I had booked the hotel for my sister, I and my son. I could not make it on time to check in because of flight delay so my sister was the one who checked in on my behalf. First, My sister arrived to Sheraton along side a Chinese man and the Chinese man was given warm reception while my sister was not. This begs to question how Africans are treated in such hotels. Should we call it racism or favoritism? Secondly, I was quite disappointed because the room my sister was given lacked hot water. After a long day of travel, my sister was looking forward to a warm shower, only to find that the water was consistently cold. Despite adjusting the settings and waiting for several minutes, there was no improvement. A hot shower is a basic expectation in any hotel stay, and it was frustrating not to have this essential comfort. Thirdly, the buffet breakfast lacked variety—especially in terms of fresh fruit. While one or two common options were available, the spread felt uninspired and inadequate for a hotel of this standard. A more diverse and vibrant selection would not only cater to international palates but also reflect the commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. Fourth, the room allocated to us had no dead bolt nobs for extra security. Hotels must do better. True hospitality is inclusive, thoughtful, and attentive to all details—from room allocation to food offerings.
