The kitchen at the "Gais Alpins" is very well equipped. It makes cooking delicious meals a joy. Working at the kitchen island and enjoying the beautiful view while cooking are unique. The terrace with its dining table offers a lovely spot for dining with a view of the lake and the Savoy Alps, and later for relaxing in the lounge chairs. An inspiring place.
The area is a paradise for athletes. The MGN cog railway leads to biker trails with long descents to Montreux. In Glion there are two tennis courts, one in the park of the Hotel Victoria with an adjacent pool, the other in the middle of the village of Glion, surrounded by trees for pleasant shade. In Territet/Montreux, accessible by the funicular from Glion, there is the Tennis Club Montreux with great courts right on the lake. Swimming after tennis makes things even better. Sailing and rowing boats are also available for rent.
The location of the "Gais Alpins" is very beautiful. The blue lake lies at your feet, and the peaks of the mountains are still covered in snow even in June. The house is also a starting point for extensive mountain hikes. The hike through the Gorges du Chauderon is phenomenal. You feel like you've been transported to another world. In the evening, the Glion – Territet funicular takes you directly to a swim in the lake. Hiking and swimming are very pleasant.
