Ganz & Spa

In overall I liked our stay, I put 5 stars, but there are pros & cons. Note: I'm not evaluating the hotel from the skiing perspective, as we stayed in October and were looking for spa-hotel. Pros: 1) hotel is brand new, very nicely renovated, a lot of wood in interior, which makes the hotel modern and cozy at the same time 2) bed is amazing! So comfortable! I had sooo good sleep there 3) the hotel is very clean: rooms, restaurants and spa area 4) there is nice spa area - pretty big pool (~15 meters), Roman bath and Finnish sauna 5) buffet breakfast was diverse enough, was included into the room rate. And if to compare room rate without breakfast and with breakfast included, the difference was not significant, so the price for breakfast is pretty cheap 6) soundproof is not perfect, but fine. Considering that there were a lot of children in the hotel, their noice almost was not disturbing 7) even though the hotel is in the center (close to the 2B funicular, key touristic one), it's 5 min walk to a forest, which makes it easy both to enjoy civilization and wild nature 8) prices in restaurant are not crazy expensive, for Bukovel - reasonable 9) super friendly and eager to help staff: on reception and in restaurant 10) there is a lift in the hotel building, so it's easy to navigate between floors. Cons: 1) there was only one cook in the restaurant while the hotel was full! Even very simple dish we had to wait for 1-1.30 hours!!! This is unacceptable! 2) Menu in restaurant is poor, and some positions were not available. Very few positions of local (hutsul) food. Alcohol is very expensive, only one type of beer, which cost like 4 € for 0.5 liter (which is European, not Ukrainian price) 3) water in the pool was cold, despite promised +28 C, it was barely +20-22 C. Roman bath was working only in the evening, Finnish bath was not included into the room rate. So basically we cannot use the pool during a day, as without bath/sauna it was very cold to stay there 4) I understand that it was not the fault of the Hotel, but there were several constructions in progress around it, and they produced noise and dust. We did not enjoy staying on the restaurant terrace because of that 5) I included location of the hotel to "pros", as it's close to infrastructure, but I need to note - the hotel is located not in "cosy" place: it's between another line of the hotels and the road. The location of the "old" Gans is much better - near the forest, great views around

Perfectly located comfortable clean hotel. Very close to the center while far away from other buildings. We paid 2200 per night in July 2018 for 2-room apartment well suited for family of 3 adults and 2 kids. It was the best price in its class. Everything was great. By amenities it would be a 3-star no-breakfast hotel in the US ranking. The hotel restaurant is as expensive as other local restaurants. If you have no idea where to stay in Bukovel, consider this hotel as a safe option.

Excellent stay with very efficient receptionist, Vitalia who with her English has provided me with exceptional customer service with guidance to internal services offered by the hotel and extensively throughout the Bukovel region. Furthermore, the cleaning staff has been efficient and helped with my enquire, with mobile phone translation. Additionally, Tara’s helpful assistance with the internal hotel and recommendations for outside the local district, coupled with outstanding customer service has made my stay very welcome. As an Australian tourist form Sydney, I’ve stayed four nights, the bed is very comfortable with excellent shower 🚿 and internal swimming pool and pyschedicl steam room designed for a very relaxing atmosphere, with the 1970’s music playing. Worthwhile place to stay with good breakfast and support from all. I’d definitely recomend to say a few nights also I winter as you’re beside the ski lifts and it’s very central to two of main lifts as well as restaurants. Overall, 10/10 service.
