Resort is on the beach, which is mostly empty, no crowds. We were on the 9th floor with amazing views. Rooms were very large and well appointed. The resort has 8 pools, several restaurants and truly outstanding service by every employee you encounter at the resort. The breakfast buffet was large with omelet stations and varied daily. The Italian restaurant was our favorite and the Asian restaurant was also very good. We look forward to returning next year. Special thank you to our butler’s Omar & Daniel - amazing service! Always looking to make our stay more enjoyable- Again thank you for all you guys did !
We stayed at Garza Blanca Hotel in Los Cabos and overall, the property is beautiful and the drinks were good. However, our experience was seriously marred by poor service and unfriendly staff, especially a hostess named Ana. When we tried to join a Mexican party at the hotel, Ana gave us the biggest attitude, looking us up and down, and told us it was a private event we couldn’t attend. Keep in mind, we paid for an all-inclusive one-bedroom room, not a cheap stay. We asked another employee for guidance, who pointed us back to the event, but Ana was still rude and denied us entry until another staff member intervened. We had a few drinks and went back to our room. Later, wanting to return since there was nothing else to do at the hotel that night, Ana again denied us entry claiming max capacity, even though the space was less than half full. When I laughed and asked for the server, magically a table appeared. For bad luck, Ana works at multiple restaurants there and always remembers our room number and gives us poor service everywhere we go. Reservations are absolutely required, and if you don’t book well in advance, you’re basically stuck eating in your room with only pizza or burgers available. They seriously won’t let you into the restaurants without a reservation even thought you can see the restaurants are not even half of the capacity they wont let you in, and you’ll be judged wherever you go, despite us wearing very nice outfits. Pools close quite early, there’s not much to do after 8pm except stay in your room. The food quality is disappointing, though drinks are decent. If you get sick, the doctor on-site charges $150 just for consultation plus meds. When my partner couldn’t eat the room service menu (mainly burgers, pizza, and tacos) due to dietary restrictions prescribed by the doctor, plus because we did not paid over $3.5k dlls for this type of food, we were told we couldn’t get food delivered from the restaurants to the room, even though the concierge said otherwise. I had to fight for 2 hours to get food brought to the room so my partner could eat. The staff was completely indifferent. Also, the “presentation” they advertise takes 4 hours, not 75 minutes as they claim, and everything at the hotel takes forever including bringing the check at restaurants. Trying to leave early if they don't bring your check just irritates the staff. Check-in took about 40 minutes waiting in line and another 40 minutes doing paperwork, even with a reservation. Overall, the hotel is nice, but the service ruins it. If you plan to stay here, beware of the terrible hospitality and limited activities. Most importantly, they seriously need to fire Ana (the hostess).
We checked into the hotel on June 27, 2025, around 12:00 PM and were initially welcomed with champagne. However, our experience quickly deteriorated, culminating in a horrific incident where my fiancée became a victim of a sex crime. At approximately 2:00 PM, we had a scheduled appointment with the wedding and event organizers to tour potential ceremony and reception areas for our wedding planned for March 2026. Unfortunately, the wedding organizer was late and responded disrespectfully when we inquired about her whereabouts, saying, “I’ll get to that.” The facilities did not meet our expectations, and when we voiced our concerns, her response was dismissive: “That’s what we have to offer.” We expected a higher level of professionalism and enthusiasm, given the significance of our event, but her lack of engagement was unacceptable. At around 3:00 PM, we ordered room service that included margaritas and French fries. Shortly after, around 3:30 PM, there was a knock at our door. I had just stepped out of the shower, delaying my response, while my fiancée was on the balcony. When I opened the door to the room service staff—a Hispanic male—I noticed he entered, set down our order, and seemed to survey the room, particularly the balcony area. While he was in our room, I received a phone call and informed a friend that I would meet him at the pool in about 20-30 minutes. I left the room shortly after finishing the call. At approximately 4:00 PM, a Hispanic male entered our room without our knowledge or consent, using an electronic key card. My fiancée, who had just come out of the shower and was unclothed, mistook him for me when she heard noises. However, when she realized he was not me, she screamed and rushed back into the bedroom. He quickly left the room with the items he had brought (glasses and tableware). It is crucial to note that my fiancée is a survivor of sexual assault and found it difficult to discuss the incident, as it was deeply triggering for her. She wanted to move past it and enjoy the remainder of our stay. However, later that evening, she revealed her belief that the man had been in our room while I was out by the pool, potentially watching her shower. This violation is not something we can overlook, and due to the incident, we agreed to check out of the hotel the following day. On June 28, 2025, at 11:30 AM, while checking out, I informed the front desk clerk about our early departure. He noted that our checkout date was still two days away and asked for the reason for our early exit. I elaborated on the incident that occurred the previous day at 4:00 PM. At that point, we were escorted back to the lobby, where I asked to speak with her supervisor. I then spoke with the front desk manager, Jose Luis Penaloza, who informed us that he was aware of the situation and asked us to complete an incident report. I asked why we had not yet spoken with anyone from the safety and security department, as this issue required proper investigation and documentation. The manager began to talk over me in a hostile tone and insisted that I fill out the form. I requested that he call the local police department so I could document the situation with them. He responded, "You're going to waste more of your time with the police; they're not going to help you." At that moment, hotel staff began to crowd around us as other guests started leaving the lobby. Due to the unwanted presence of the staff, the front office manager’s demeanor, and our fear of potential retaliation, we decided to leave the property in our Uber.
