Gavetorps Gard

We had an idyllic few days here in the summer - such a peaceful beautiful spot, and the renovated barn was both elegant and comfortable. A perfect place for a holiday with friends - we had a great time cooking up a storm in the kitchen, going for long walks and chatting by the fire in the evening.

Amazing tranquil barn in a beautiful forest location. You have the best of both worlds - cutting edge convenience with the comfort of a snug old stone barn. The owners are very helpful and happy to give advice on the best of the local area whichisfull of local flora and fauna. My favourite part was sitting in the window simply watching the summer rain fall on the green.

I had a great week staying at the newly converted stone barn at Gåvetorps gård. My friends and I were looking for a really special experience getting together for a reunion amid unique surroundings and boy did we find it. We had such a warm welcome from the owner Vilhelm too. The actual building is nothing short of an architectural marvel – given it was a cow barn originally, the transformation has been staggering. Designed with a minimal aesthetic, the stone barn had every modern convenience, comfy bedrooms, wet-room style bathrooms, a log-burner and a fabulously equipped kitchen – all amid dense Swedish forest. It was completely fantastic. This is the place to get away from it all – in true Scandi style.
