GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca

GHL Hotel is a building that would have fascinated Le Corbusier. (I was told that it used to be a prison - not so sure about that.) But don't let the outside fool you. This is a lovely hotel inside. The rooms are comfortable, and their location on a peninsula assures that you will have a nice view of the sunrise in the morning. The service is exceptional. There is a good restaurant (reviewed separately) and bar on the premises. The friendly travel agent in the lobby can assist with arranging lake excursions or airport transportation. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here next time I visit Puno.

This hotel has an amazing location. Every room has a lake view either sunrise side or sunset side. Probably built in the 70s so not super modern but rooms are clean and have everything with huge panoramic windows to see the sunrise or sunset which is spectacular. Breakfast is very good. Service is very friendly.

This is an outstanding hotel with great views of the lake. As we stumble in from days full of sight-seeing, we often resort to dining at this hotel's restaurant for convenience but soon discover that the staff and the food make it a worthwhile visit. Eduardo, our server was attentive and helpful. He speaks fluent English too and this is helpful. This hotel offers spacious accommodation for a third person in the room; we didn't need it but I'm sure it might be a plus for someone else
