Gokulam Park Munnar

A hotel with beautiful views. you will be served with welcome juice and escorted to your rooms. The receptionist explained to us all the facilities available at the hotel. The rooms are clean so are the bathrooms. There is a refrigerator in the room but no lockers. It has a coffee shop so also a restaurant on the first floor. The food is yummy. I enjoyed rice and fish curry. We also enjoyed Chicken 65,; Dragon chicken, kerala paratha, chappathi, malabari fish curry rice, chicken chettinadu, ice tea, caramel pudding, gulab jamun, fresh lime soda. The breakfast here has a variety of items. All fresh. There is a gym, swimming pool too.

It was a good stay. Especially the food and the restaurant staff were exceptional. Only negative was that during the check out the reception staff asked to wait since they need to check the room/minibar. But they kept me waiting since no response/delay from their team. In the end, they said we checked, everything is good but they don't value your time. This needs to be fast.

We had an absolutely horrible experience at Gokulam Park, Munnar (booked last week). We were a family group and had booked 5 rooms, checking in around midnight. At around 2 AM, we discovered something under the bed in one of the rooms – and to our horror, it looked like a dead snake. Can you imagine the shock of seeing this in the middle of the night under your bed? Our entire stay was ruined, nobody could sleep, and we were left shaken for the rest of the trip. When we reported this to the hotel, their response was unbelievable – they simply changed the room and did nothing more. No apology, no call from management, no concern shown whatsoever. We waited until checkout thinking someone from their side would at least acknowledge the issue, but nobody bothered. At checkout, when we insisted on meeting the manager, the receptionist casually called her and said to her on the phone that “the guest wants to see the manager because they saw a worm in the room.” A worm??? They dismissed a snake under the bed as a worm! For a reputed group like Gokulam, this kind of negligence and total lack of accountability is shocking. We chose this hotel because it was midnight, we were with family, and trusted their name – but this turned out to be one of the worst decisions. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! If you’re considering booking here, please beware. Check every corner of your room before settling in – who knows what you might find. What if a snake crawls on you in your sleep? Absolutely unacceptable experience.
