Golden Bean Hotel

We loved our stay here. As we were checking in, we were given a glass of mango juice (which was very much appreciated after being in the sun). We stayed in the executive suite and had a lovely stay. Spacious room, great amenities, lovely bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was lovely in the morning: a good selection of English/Ghanaian food. Pool area was quiet and well-maintained. The hotel is also in a great location.

So in general Kumasi hotels are not at a great standard that would pull tourism from other locations, but that being said GB is a well known hotel in Kumasi and I would stay again due to lack of other options, the hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff - some staff members like Joseph are highly trained and amazing at there jobs. But others are slow and forgetful sometimes would ask for things and end up waiting for a long time. The hotel - is fully AC, the front door has a lot of steps leading up to it, there is a ramp. The swimming pool is never clean even tho I asked on a number of occasions for it to be clean but I never swam this was one of the main features why I would stay in a hotel, I gave feedback when I was leaving and was met with rolling eyes and I was told again it's cleaned every day. Sometimes wedding parties are hosting at GB and the sound can be loud but this was not a problem for myself.

I literally got served the worst takeout jollof rice I have ever had at this hotel The package was fancy, yes, but the salad was sour, the chicken too spicy and the jollof rice itself seemed to have being cooked the night before I personally don’t recommend takeout food from there, but it is a serene hotel to visit
