Golden Pearl Tangalle Beach

We spent 3 days at this fabulous property. We loved the location - the sea was perfect for swimming and the pool was nice too. In front of the beach is a lovely lawned area with trees which is perfect for those of us who like a bit of shade. The rooms were large (we had a sea view room) and well equipped. You should be prepared to be self sufficient - the staff are inexperienced and shy so aren’t proactive in clearing tables or offering drinks - they prefer to hide inside. You have to ask if you want towels or a drink or if you want glasses cleared from a table so you can sit down (the glasses stayed on the tables all morning with all manner of staff members just walking past them). The cleaning staff on the other hand do work very hard and do a great job. I would 100% stay here again at this wonderful property but don’t expect to be waited on.

Luxurious hotel with great views! Great hotel in amazing location, our room had a fabulous view of the beach. Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff (even at low season) who were always happy to help out if needed. The room was large and well equipped and we had a great balcony to admire the ocean view. Golden Pearl is a short stroll into Tangalle and the staff are happy to arrange day trips if needed. Highly recommended!

Excellent staff, great service and very professional. Awesome experience, whether on holiday or work...must stay here and enjoy Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Compliment to CHANUKA, SERVICE STAFF...and all housekeeping staff for their diligent hard work to maintain high standards. WELL DONE. I will definitely return here. Good breakfast choices.
