Golf Resort 2Beds Terrace Apartment

Unsure why it has such a low rating, I had a great stay at Ona Valle Romano Resort. I found the staff at reception very helpful, pleasant and welcoming. They accommodated to all my queries and even offered suggestions for places to visit nearby. I dealt with Steven mostly and enjoyed my interactions with him. The room was clean, spacious and everything worked seamlessly. I loved that there was a filter coffee machine in the room too! My only suggestion would be to have a shuttle bus to go into the town nearby or even a bike rental. Getting an Uber is a long wait and usually nearly 40euro for one way (this is not the hotels fault whatsoever!).

Ona Valle Romano Golf & Resort offers an excellent accommodation experience, especially considering the price point. The apartments are exceptionally spacious and fully equipped, featuring everything needed for a comfortable stay-including Bosch appliances, a dishwasher, washing machine, and a well-appointed kitchen. Everything in the apartment was clean, functional, and nothing was missing, which made for a worry-free visit We stayed in the third block, which was quiet and offered wonderful afternoon sun on the terrace-a perfect spot to relax after a day out. The overall cleanliness and comfort of the apartment were outstanding, and the spaciousness is a real highlight . Free street parking is available, and if you prefer, you can use the garage for €15 per night A special mention goes to Mr. David at reception, who was exceptionally friendly, cheerful, and efficient-a true professional in his role. The staff overall are noted for their helpfulness and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere We did not use the restaurant, so cannot comment on the food. The only minor drawback was that we did not have dishwasher tablets; although we received a voucher for them, our busy schedule meant we didn’t manage to pick them up. Considering the price-about €60 per night-the value is unbeatable and, in my opinion, the best offer in the Estepona area . Highly recommended for anyone seeking space, comfort, and cleanliness at a great price.

This hotel is not well managed. You can see that immediately from the state of the infrastructure and all kinds of details. There are things that are broken and not being properly repaired: for example, damage to tiles around the swimming pool, damage to and around the many stairs, broken windows, a lift that looks dented, and many other things. The staff seem somewhat frustrated by this (perhaps because there are quite a few complaints). The rooms are spacious, but our room had a very unpleasant smell (air conditioning??). We had an apartment with a separate room for the teenagers, which was fine. There were also two bathrooms, which was great. We had a spacious balcony with a beautiful sea view and a view of the golf course, but the balcony was not well maintained (the wood urgently needs some paint) and the floor and furniture are also in need of renewal. The breakfast and evening buffet are good, but nothing more than that. There could be more variety, and things need to be replenished more quickly, especially when there are a lot of people. The dining room is very unpleasant; it's like a refectory with a lot of noise (you can hear chairs scraping across the floor and people shouting over each other). We therefore ate outside in peace and quiet. When the hotel has a lot of visitors, it becomes very difficult to find a parking space nearby. This hotel really focuses on quantity (receiving lots of visitors and cashing in) but loses out on quality as a result. With good management, this hotel could achieve so much more. It's a shame.
