Gran Hotel Santa Cruz

I was close to booking several days at this hotel; however, I ended up staying only one day, which was enough. The lobby of the hotel looks good, but the rooms are not comfortable at all. The electric kettle didn't work; it seemed to have a short circuit. Everything was very old and neglected. The worst part was the service; they offered a small bed for my son, but it never materialized. The staff were unfriendly, I don't know the reasons why they were mad and bored to work there. The only positive aspect I can mention is the location.

What really disappointment me was the labor exploitation with (low wage) late to no payments. Workers have to mail for months to get paid and they have take legal actions with no response by the hotel’s cooperation. I have stayed there before as a guest. The I aisles were cold and kinda dark. Feels somewhat old. The food is ok.

It's a scam, internet doesn't work, dirty, unhelpful staff, far from 5 stars
