Grand Hotel Baia Verde

Clean, spacious, airy room with a decent-sized balcony. Friendly staff, large pool and access down steps to the sea. Fantastic buffet breakfast. My wife and I spent our last day in Sicily here and loved it! Great value!

The hotel has a fantastic location—right in front of the sea, which is definitely the highlight of the stay. Having direct access to the beach is a major plus and makes it easy to enjoy the ocean any time of day. However, the surrounding area doesn't offer much in terms of attractions or activities, so keep that in mind if you're looking to explore nearby. For a 4 star hotel, in terms of amenities, I found some basics were missing. For example, even simple items like an iron or a lighter weren’t available when requested. The room itself was a bit dated, and certain areas of the bathroom could use some repairs or upgrades. Breakfast was okay, but the food selection could be improved, especially the hot items—like eggs—which were consistently served cold. Also, a quick tip: don’t leave your food unattended at the outdoor tables, as birds will swoop in quickly. On the positive side, the pool area and bar were really enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the drinks and snacks served there were very good.

A very nice hotel for five nights. We really enjoyed our room at the hotel, comfy bed, extra pillows if needed, little fridge in the room and a lovely out door area with seats. The breakfast was very fair for the price we paid for the room, lots of sweet options but also some more savoury although we did find if you didn’t time it right they could be slightly cold, not the hotels fault the guests would leave the lids off but didn’t impact breakfast as a whole ! The pool has loads of beds around, and amazing views. It was absolutely packed with children and very noisy when we stayed which again not the hotels fault, just something to bare in mind if you are booking as a lot of the other reviews mentioned this was more of a business hotel which we didn’t seem to find the case … The hotel bar is slightly expensive but the views are amazing. Parking is also easy Overall a really nice place to base yourself if you are hoping to explore Sicily !
