A wonderful hotel near the centre of Ivano Frankivsk. The food is out of this world yet cheap for the UK. Breakfast alone was worth the cost of the room. Staff are the friendliest I have ever met. Calm and reassuring as the air raid sirens went off. Such a surreal atmosphere but life goes on. I hope I can come back one day when the war is over.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Yes, the hotel itself is beautiful, but I have never in my life encountered such blatant rudeness. The administrator was openly rude to my face and even asked us to leave the hotel 2.5 hours before check-out just because we had returned the keys earlier. This is a clear violation of consumer protection laws. The evening before, we mentioned that we did not enjoy the massage and I politely asked if the therapist had any formal medical massage education. Instead of answering, they accused me of having been “negative from the start” simply because earlier we had offered them a possible collaboration, which they declined. I had paid for my stay in full, and my questions were legitimate. The next morning, they served us extremely spicy food for breakfast without any warning. When I asked whether this was normal and why it wasn’t indicated anywhere, they told me I “should have asked” and then called us “arrogant rude women.” They even started filming us openly. Yes, I was also recording — which is my legal right when dealing with hotel staff — but the administrator pushed her phone directly in my face and kept filming without answering my questions. They laughed at me in front of other people. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Absolutely unacceptable behavior for any hotel, let alone one of this level.
