Grand Margherita Hotel

Attended a dinner here. Food was great. Service was great. Aircond was a bit too humid. Had to fan myself during the dinner. The management should upgrade or maintain the air-conditioning. Otherwise everything else would be 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Sorry, no pictures for this dinner dishes/cousines.

1) When we check-in, the room power has stopped 3 times until we requested to changed room. 2) Security is good with door access to your floor & room. 3) Location is good. Walking distance to the local eateries, restaurants, malls, groceries , fast foods & etc. 4) Hotel's air conditioning is cool. I like it so much especially after come back from hot weather. 5) Lighting in the room's is dark and dim especially toilet. The shorter building's room are still with bathtub. The taller building toilet is standing shower. Even the hotel has done the painting for their refurbishment, you still can see the door frame is old and not well maintain. The 2nd lock on the inner side has broke and the screw has loosen. 6) Parking is limited during Public Holidays. 7) Breakfast has many variety but cold, tasteless & messy. Soft boiled egg served cold, can you imagine? We had the first day breakfast in the dark. Only the lights in the middle part buffet line was on. Others are based on the natural light. The air circulation in the coffee shop is warm and stuffy. I don't feel the air cond. Only 1 fan is blowing at the corner. I also saw 2 set of the air cooler there but not working. 8) My suggest, go for room only instead of room with breakfast. 9) Those who travel with family with young or old children, book for twin beds room. It come with 2 big beds.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel. The room was clean and cleaned daily. Room furnishings practical, but showing numerous traces of previous users. The best part of the hotel is its restaurant with a very good breakfast offer. The hotel is conveniently located with walking distance to most attractions in Kuching.
