Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran – A Refined Stay for Business and Leisure Nestled in the heart of North Jakarta’s commercial district, Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran offers a refined blend of luxury, convenience, and attentive service—making it a standout choice for business executives and discerning travelers alike. From the moment you step into the lobby, the ambiance is undeniably upscale. The facilities are impressively well-appointed, with elegant rooms, a serene outdoor pool, a fully equipped fitness center, and wellness offerings that reflect the hotel’s five-star positioning. During my stay, I had the opportunity to host an event at the hotel’s Ballroom, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The event space was spacious, well-lit, and supported by a responsive events team that ensured a smooth and professional experience. Dining is another highlight. The in-house restaurant and coffee shop provide a welcoming atmosphere, ideal not just for casual meals but also as comfortable venues for business meetings. Whether you're closing a deal or catching up over coffee, the setting is conducive and the service discreet yet attentive. Strategically located, the hotel is an excellent choice for executives with business in Kemayoran or nearby districts. Accessibility to the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) is a plus, and the property offers a restful escape from the bustle of Jakarta traffic. For those seeking evening leisure, Grand Mercure doesn’t disappoint. There's a vibrant night scene within and around the hotel, and I highly recommend a stroll or light dining experience at the nearby Arena Lakeside, a popular local destination that’s just a short drive away. A particularly memorable part of my stay was the remarkable service provided by the hotel staff. I had unintentionally left behind a personal item after check-out, and the staff promptly and professionally assisted me with locating and arranging for the item’s return. Their hospitality was not only efficient but also genuinely warm—something that left a lasting impression. In conclusion, Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran effortlessly balances luxury and practicality, making it a top-tier destination for business travelers while still offering the charm and comfort that leisure guests will appreciate. Highly recommended.
Service was good overall. However, reception is not actively answering their phones before 7am. Nice and comfortable rooms. But walls are relatively thin. Everyday I could hear sounds from upstairs and next door. For example, turning on and off a switch. People talking. And when the rooms are being cleaned.
Not the expected level of a 5 stars hotel. Just back from the Grand Mercure Patong Phuket and this has nothing to do with this one. I will invite the management to go there and learn a lot from a real 5 stars Hotel. I agree that we are next to the convention center but: The hotel is clearly understaffed: on the peek time, which should be well known in advance, there is clearly not enough staff to try to keep the breakfast room at the right level. As already mentioned, and once again I understand, it's not a tourist destination, the level of the breakfast is not as it should: almost no western/non-Indonesian food, lake of juice: a Guava (which I personally don’t like) pineapple juice, no taste at all (to much diluted in water), on water, and one water with fruit inside… enough? certainly not! Two coffee machines for 150-200 people attending to the breakfast… enough? certainly not! And what a coffee… as a European living in Indonesia, I will appreciate a real coffee… but ya, ok. I’m also surprised that this 5-star hotel do not have special attention, like a lounge, or special amities for the platinum/diamond customer. In this hotel in 2022, I was used to have a personalized welcome message write on a mirror. I’m not asking that, but it make you comfortable… Finally, I used a free upgrade provided by All Accor to have a Suite room. Little disappointment concerning small but significant point: there is no body lotion; the shower is broken do not have the correct flow of water; water pressure is too low. No soap in the second toilet even if you have a washbasin in the room, etc., etc.… The guest relation uses to contact you before to take some information like your arrival time, which is good, but as I answer I will be here with my wife to relax and enjoy some time in malls; it should be clever to warn us not to go to breakfast between 7 to 9:30 as the hotel is quite full and it will be not convenient to relax… Just so simple, but no… nothing mentioned at all, just the usual polite form to answering my request. Last but not least, there is no common sense of hospitality (as it should be in a 5-star hotel) even if you have unpolite/racist customer, to take one by one in the queue, instead of letting these impolite customers short cut the queue and put them right back in the line? I say that, I say nothing… but this show that there is a lot of improvement to do at this hotel and for sure does not deserve to be a 5 stars hotel… The staff is nice, the problem here is the management and the way the hotel is managed. Costs do not reflect the service you have there! I will not recommend this hotel and it was certainly my last visit.
