Grand Pacific Hotel Fiji

Stayed here for about a week: Nice hotel with lovely staff and rich history. The lobby looks grand. The rooms are spacious although showing some age. Location is very central as well. Thanks for the hospitality. I happen to be there during a religious event happening across the road at Albert Park and it can be quite noisy. My room is also facing the bowling club which has live music until past midnight. Not the hotel’s fault but just something to be aware, if you have low noise tolerance.

I had a nice stay at the Grand Pacific. Despite the age of the hotel, it was still maintained well with some signs of aging but not severe. Rooms showed their age a bit too, but they were still spacious and had modern touches. The bathroom was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. I had a nice view of the ocean from my room too. Restaurants available on site and the pool area was really nice. Amazing and friendly staff from start to finish. Breakfast buffet was underwhelming for the price and it looked like there was mold on some of the deli meat. I would avoid the buffet altogether. Plenty of cafés in Suva to eat at instead. Overall it was a good stay, though I think it is overvalued a bit.

Came for Lunch twice and the service was terrible! So Disappointing!! Took an hour for someone to come to serve us. The fish was dry and chewy. The Prawn curry was not what we expected, the prawns were literally swimming in a bowl of oil. When the food arrived after an hour later. It was cold. Very bad communication with staff as we saw the girl marching up and down not knowing which table she was serving.
