We found the buffet very extensive and a good quality. The serving staff were very efficient, professional and helpful. Our waitress Yesica was all of these things. We would recommend the hotel to everyone. (We were travelling with 2 children - 10 and 12 years ). We especially loved all the animal life in and around the hotel

The food is a hit and miss. The first 3 days was subpar but the 4th day was average. Think Olive Garden. Drinks are close to water which was expected because Im sure they dont want drunk belligerent guests. Rooms are ok, no different than the Holiday Inn. The rooms had tea bags and coffee but no coffee pot for hot water. The beds are not great but okay. The first night sleeping in the bed was horrible but I got use to it by night 3. This is my first experience in an All Inclusive and if I go off of this experience alone, I will NEVER stay at another one. I would rather pay to stay at a decent hotel like Holiday Inn and choose my own restaurants to visit. I don't know how they managed to fuc# up breakfast but they did. A butter knife was not able to cut the sausage. The better buffet is the one on White Sands. They have fewer options than the hacienda, but seemingly better food. We decided to cut our stay short by 2 days to visit Hotel Xcaret Arte, will update this post to let you all know how that All Inclusive is. We were taking our luggage to our rental car around 11 pm the night before so we would have less to do in the morning. While walking with our luggage, we were stopped twice by different employees telling us that we were not allowed to take our luggage to our car and that we needed to go to the front desk ASAP. We went and was told that we needed to take our luggage back to our room and come to the desk in the morning to check out and the bell hop will put our luggage in the car at that point. After speaking with the front desk, I still put our luggage in our rental car. I was made to feel like a prisoner. It made me really uncomfortable like they thought I was going to run off with their precious coffee maker that they didn't have lol. Or maybe the hair dryer? The only thing that I wanted was the 1 painting on the wall and that can't fit my luggage. I gave a 3 🌟 for the room because it's similar to the Holiday Inn which is ok with me. 3 🌟 for service because there was only 1 golf cart driver that offered to pick us up when we were walking. The rest just drove by. I wish I had seen him before we left because I wanted to give him a great tip. He was a young man with braces but I didn't get his name 😞. The overall environment is beautiful, I love the landscape. This review may be harsh but I would rather stay at an AirBNB or regular hotel and visit places in the community. I travel to experience the native culture, not to spend all my time at the resort.

Who decided to make all the adult pools over 5 feet deep? What happens to non-swimmers? While the average height in the world may be above 5 feet, it includes the head in that measurement. We can’t enjoy nothing pool related because we’re not tall enough. Secondly, what atrocious system you guys have in place with dinner reservations? I emailed you all more than a week in advance of my stay to request two reservations for birthdays and we GOT NONE! Not a single thing is opened for the 5 nights we’re spending here. The concierge was arguing that reservations open so many days before. The most hilarious thing is that I waited till midnight for one to open up to book, it was then fully unavailable once it did. To say this property is a disappointment is an understatement. The waiting staff are remarkable. They’re the true gem here and deserve all the praise.
