Spent two nights here as our first hotel on our trip to Japan. We chose the hotel based on the beautiful view on the website as after 24hours travelling we knew we would need a relaxing environment. It did not disappoint, the view from our room was probably the best view I have ever had in a hotel. The room was a good size for a family of three and the toiletries provided were lovely. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the train station and also a public bus in to town that picks up outside the hotel which we used to visit the Peace Memorial. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for peace and tranquility outside of the busy cities.
We had a fantastic stay at the Grand Prince Hiroshima! From the moment we arrived, the shuttle service made everything seamless and convenient. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were immediately impressed by how clean and beautiful the hotel was. Our room offered lovely views of the water—truly a peaceful and scenic escape. One of the biggest highlights was the phenomenal ferry service directly from the hotel to nearby islands, including Miyajima. It made exploring the area incredibly easy and memorable. The top floor was the cherry on top—breakfast in the morning was delicious and relaxing, and in the evening we enjoyed drinks while taking in the panoramic views. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and scenic stay in Hiroshima!
Overall, acceptable. The service was entirely transactional, with no element of welcome. There was an extra charge for the pool facilities which we missed on booking, these facilities also closed at 6pm which limited their usability on a busy trip. The breakfast is disordered, poor quality, and reminiscent of dining in IKEA, only without the low price. The rooms are dated and tired. They don't reflect their setting or add anything the the guest experience. The rooms are however quiet and the beds were comfortable. The shower was good. The beach and seafront walk was stunning. This hotel added no joy to our trip. I'm confident that for what we paid we could have had a considerably better experience at a different hotel.
