We (4 people) stayed for one night in room 207. Room was spacious, clean with super somfy beds. Varied breakfast with loads to choose from. Room service was quick, and portions tasty and generous size.
Fastest checking in I've ever encountered. Very friendly crew, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was very good. All-in-all, recommended for the price point!
We stayed in Room 001 at the Grand Royal Hotel Poznań, choosing it specifically because it featured an aquarium view — something we were really looking forward to. However, the reality was quite disappointing and didn’t live up to the expectations, especially given the high price of €170 per night for two people with breakfast included. The room felt tired and neglected. The carpet was stained throughout and even had holes in some places, which gave a poor first impression. The bed creaked loudly with every movement, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. The pillows were thin and small, offering almost no support, which further added to the discomfort. The aquarium was completely covered by a curtain, which couldn’t be drawn or opened — defeating the entire purpose of booking this room. In the bathroom, water flowed from both the faucet and the showerhead at the same time, clearly indicating a maintenance issue. We also noticed napkins left on the hairdryer, which gave a sense of carelessness in cleaning. There were a few practical amenities like a mini-fridge and a safe, but no slippers or bathrobes, which are often expected at this price point. Overall, the room did not justify the price, and the experience fell far below what we anticipated. It’s unfortunate, as the hotel has potential, but this particular room felt overpriced and poorly maintained.
