Grand Tropic Suites Hotel

One unique feature of this hotel is that it has a great swimming pool with beautiful garden landscape at the centre of the hotel. But because of this, some rooms are some walking distance away from the lobby. The building of the hotel itself is quite old but the room is still relatively well maintained. The room condition is as expected of a Novotel hotel. Breakfast menu has good variety but the taste is so so. The location of this hotel may not be at the city centre but for me it is close enough to the airport

The linen was a shade of grey not white. The bathroom looked dirty. The pool was missing multiple tiles. The water slide had not been used in some time. The place was very poorly maintained. Such a shame. By far the worst Novotel I've ever stayed at. The 2 stars were for the staff, they were very pleasant.

Disappointed For our holiday in Indonesia we booked this hotel for 3 nights. We arrived a bit later in the evening and that went all fine. The reception gave us our key and we went to the room. We experienced that the hotel has a very nice garden, has a great pool, and there's decent food variety in the breakfast. However, you notice that the hotel is old and doesn't get the attention it needs. Old furniture in the room, old bed & pillows (you can feel the springs in the bed), dirty sheets, mold in the bathroom and even the sink faucet was rusty that it's difficult to turn the tap on. One of the light in the room was blipping in the night, so it's not comfortable for a light sleeper. We got an iron board that couldn't stand and also full with dirt where you don't want to put your clean clothes on. Also we went to the fitness but 75% of the machines were out of service. You better fix the machines or close the fitness room because people have their expectations when you put this on your website. Next to it, there's also minimal sound isolation in the room. We heard noises from people passing the hallway and from the room above us. All in all, for us, the only positive things in the hotel were the breakfast and their pretty garden. But they need to improve on pretty much everything else. We won't come back.
