He proposed!!! Perfect location for a special occasion. This place is the definition of magical. I don't want the secret to get out, but our host deserves recognition. The owner, Markus, was so amazing. He's fluent in multiple languages, which made us feel very welcomed. Fresh breakfast every morning. I would suggest typical- rice and beans, scrambled eggs, delicious cheese and a hand made tortilla. Staff was always polite and helpful, very hard working. The land is what I came for. And that was where the magic is. Multiple trails to hike. Creeks to walk. Waterfalls left and right. The Rio Damas swimming holes are the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. This is where I was asked to marry the love of my life!! We walked a new trail every day. Found new animals every day! Please be sure you're educated on local critters. There are books at the dining hall for species ID. There's a beautiful trail map, be sure to take a picture before you head out! Some trails are marked, some are hidden gems! I'll gush about this proper all day. TLDR: Romantic hide out for nature lovers.

The only thing I can say is 'Wow, amazing'. From the moment we arrived it was super relaxed. The hacienda has everything you need and more. We were traveling with 2 little girls (2 and 1) and had the best time. The staff is super friendly, the property is absolutely stunning. We went twice hiking to the waterfall and frog trail with the kids, swam in the little creek near the waterfall. We saw many many poisondartfrogs. And had an amazing time in the pool. We loved it, the kids loved it, and I'm a little jealous at Markus amazing place. He's a great host, very helpfull and knowledgeable. Stayed for 4 nights and easily could have stayed longer. Five stars is not nearly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were stunned, fascinated, and excited! Got there late, but woke up to one of the most amazing views I've ever had the pleasure to experience. A fantastic local breakfast with the pups (Ellie will absolutely be your best friend) and then you're off! We barely left the property, every day there was a new spot to check out and new critters around every corner! Now, this is not some tourist, paved walkways type of situation. Be prepared to get dirty, but there's a river for swimming that you'll have to yourself! This entire experience was something I've wanted since I was a kid. We will absolutely never forget our trip.
