I had a wonderfully peaceful stay at Lake Lodge Hotel. The beautiful lake and quiet surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind. The warm, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The lakeside sauna was a real treat after a day outdoors. Easy to reach by bus, bike, or car, it’s a great spot for anyone who loves nature and a bit of relaxation.

The strength of this hotel is obviously the location, which is perfect as starting point for hiking. The staff is really very nice and accommodating. The hotel room we had was fine, but be aware that there is basically no space to store your clothes or other things, also the bathroom is really small, even for Finnish standards. It had a nice little balcony. Dinner possibility is simple but fine enough, and plus points for the nice staff. Breakfast is a good standard hotel breakfast. Overall I would surely recommend it if you are planning a hike here.

The stars are mainly for the staff - we got excellent service, everyone was super friendly and attentive. Food is good but the menu was limited. Location is convenient to reach with public transport as the bus stop is right outside. The downsides - while booking I saw that morning sauna is included in the price, but when arriving I learned what that means is that women’s timeslot is at 6 am and men’s at 7. This is ridiculous, I am not gonna wake up at 6 to go to sauna? We ended up needing to book our private evening sauna slot which cost 50 euros for 50 min. They also advertise lake views, which is true, but the lake is actually down the hill and not very close. I was expecting being able to have a swim from the sauna but the walk down and up the hill, crossing a road is not nice or convenient. All in all a nice stay, but a bit pricey for what you get.
