Haven Beach Hiri Hiriketiya

This is a difficult one because the view and the rooms were exceptionally clean and amazing. Just stepping out of your balcony and looking at the Indian ocean let alone hear it at night, was something out of a movie. We stayed one night as the place was being refurbished and expanded. If I were to exclude the noise made by the workers at the early hours of the morning, not letting us sleep past 8am , it was a good stay. We loved the view so much that we booked another night. Thats when everything went South. So we woke up Yesterday only to realise that power was out and that the generator was broken. They re assured us that the power would be back at 17.00 pm but obviously we could not stay as we were not able to shower , have AC , or even charge our devices. We decided not to risk it and booked a hotel elsewhere. Power did not come back by the way and other guests had issues too. Service was it was ok. We rented a scooter from them and they kept telling us all kinds of prices that made no sense so make sure you bargain and stick to your guns. Bike was barely working as the fuel and speedometer were broken. Only the engine worked🤣. But hey, I could personally live with it. Bottom line: amazing place, but do not book until October when the expansion is finished. Other than that I definitely recommend this place

The view from the balcony is easily the best available of Hiriketiya’s crescent moon beach. Brilliant to wake up to, with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the waves. All services (reception, breakfast) are a short, rather steep walk up the road at the Serene Hotel.

We loved to stay at Haven. The location is just a dream come true. We oversaw the beautiful beach of Hiriketiya. The stuff is super nice. The room is beautiful. The breakfast is very good. We would love to come back. Sometimes there is a bit of music coming from the restaurants around, what we didn’t mind at all.
