Heaven Restaurant & Boutique Hotel

I stayed in the “less luxury” side of the hotel and it was absolutely lovely. The facilities are open to all and incredibly nice. The gym is outstanding and very well equipped, a lovely and relaxing pool. The breakfast is well worth it and amazing way to start your day. Each night they do a turndown service & leave you fresh cookies! Not to mention the wonderfully written book by the founders which you find in your room to give you a full circle story on where you are staying. The in house restaurant is a bit more expensive but the food and service are lovely. I fully enjoyed my time here and would absolutely recommend (as a solo traveler).

The room was good, it was an average room. The staff was very nice and friendly. The food at the hotel was also pretty good, that was my first ti.e eating African food, so I did not have a good comparison but aye many meals later and theirs was as good as anyone else I ate at. This hotel was not far from the airport so that was good. My room came with some bottled water and a balcony that overlooked the pool

I cannot understand the reviews for this place. It's in need of a deep clean and uplift. For $250 a night, I expect better than single beds and a shared lounge room (despite quoting 35m2 on the website). The staff are all wonderful, but the hotel leaves much to be desired. The cupboard doors don't close properly, the shower fixtures are coming out of the wall and everything is grubby. At this price point, the room is absolutely unacceptable. This is our last night after two and a half wonderful weeks through East Africa and this is by far the worst accommodation we've had. A sad way to end an amazing trip.
