Heritage Cairns Hotel

Staff were very professional and friendly. Handy vending machine in reception area Secure key cards for front door and room door Extra internal lock inside room door Blackout curtains Aircon was a little noisy but I just put the fan setting on low on the remote and it was fine The bar fridge made a little noise sometimes but I think that’s wherever you go I was a bit annoyed that my double bed was two single beds pushed together. I didn’t really appreciate the middle dip in the bed Nice little smokers area out by the pool The esplanade is a five minute walk away Overall I would stay again. Stayed for two nights. Didn’t notice any transients hanging around the area either.

On the older side but worked out well for our two nights in Cairns. The only issue was that the elevator had just broken down so we had to lug all our bags up several flights of stairs to the top floor, but room was clean and simple, and receptionist was kind and helpful. Good for the price!

I had a comfortable few nights stay here. I have to say that the receptionist staff were very friendly, super accommodating and helpful, especially when I had to store my luggage before check in and after check out - I couldn't fault them. The room was comfortable enough and very peaceful but I have to say that it was very dated and grubby in parts. The pool was a pleasant extra but smaller than it looks in the photos whilst also in need of a deep clean. The location is really handy for being able to walk to the beach front of Cairns/the Esplanade. Overall, I can recommend the Heritage for a short stay but just don't expect luxury.
