We absolutely loved our stay at Herons Rise Vineyard! It was our favourite accommodation on our trip around Tasmania. The little cottage that we stayed in was so private and comfortable. Helen (new owners) stocked our fridge with the most delicious foods for breakfast and we were so delighted by the personal touches she added to make our stay even more special. The only regret we had was only staying one night! On our next trip to Tassie we will definitely be back to stay longer. Being so close to Hobart and other beautiful towns, this is a great place to base yourself for a few days. Do yourself a favour and stay here, you won't regret it. Peaceful, comfortable and a special place to stay. Thank you Helen for having us and we can't wait to come back!

Accommodation was clean and well equipped. Comfy beds and electric blankets were a wonderful bonus. No WiFi which was a bit frustrating as I had work to complete.

This once was a farm/vineyard and now is a very over priced stay. Instead of hearing the sounds of animals and farm equipment you'll hear brushcutters and lawnmowers. Also every Tuesday at 8am we were woken by a wheelie bin being dropped outside our bedroom window and someone walking around the house. Adding to that was 2 weeks of a house being renovated including swearing tradespeople, blasting music and just so much NOISE! Communication with staff is a slow painful process involving multiple emails over many days and they don't like to be contacted! They tell you this many times. No instructions on where to go around the vineyard. No instructions were left on anything around the house, we had to keep asking. No cleaning equipment left. There was rotten food behind the fridge the house stunk! We had to pull the fridge out and clean it! Also we had to sweep the carpet, and buy our own cleaning products, mop etc. Owners said go nextdoor and pick up a vacuum. This was a very awkward ask. You can see the water if you STAND in the right spot. Star gazing was ruined by the main house constantly having lights on. Having stayed at country stays throughout Huon Valley this is by far the worst experience. There is much better for much less money.
